BIOGRAPHY

Ebonei B. Simpkins is a Litigation Associate with Thomas Kennedy Sampson & Tompkins LLP. Her practice areas include premises liability, medical malpractice, insurance defense, personal injury, and contractual relations.

Ebonei graduated from Spelman College with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. While at Spelman, Ebonei interned with the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus and served as a legislative aide for Representative Gloria Frazier for four legislative sessions. Ebonei also spent time as a summer associate in the Trials Division of the Office of the Fulton County District Attorney. During undergrad, she volunteered with Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta and various other organizations.

Ebonei received her Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law. While at UNC, Ebonei served as President of the Black Law Students Association and also participated in several civil rights pro bono projects. During law school, she also interned in Washington, D.C. for Facebook and clerked for the Honorable Richard Moore of Charlottesville, VA.

Ebonei is a native of Augusta, GA. Prior to joining Thomas Kennedy Sampson & Tompkins, she served as an Assistant District Attorney with the Fulton County DA’s Office. Ebonei is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the Supreme Court of Georgia, the Court of Appeals of Georgia, and all trial level courts in Georgia.
